PRINCE GEORGE – Initiatives Prince George has received $45,000 through the Partnership and Innovation Fund provided by the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation. PRINCE GEORGE – Ground-breaking has taken place for the Delta Prince George Hotel! Scheduled to open in 2015, the Delta Prince George, the result of an investment totalling more than $35 million, will be the first four-star hotel to be constructed in the City of Prince George. “It is important to see companies choose to invest in our community. PRINCE GEORGE – The B.C. Government is providing $2,170,455.16 in grants-in-lieu of property taxes to Prince George. These funds are included in the approximately $18.2-million in compensation to 63 communities across the province. “Grants-in-lieu are important resources for municipalities,” said Shirley Bond, MLA for Prince George-Valemount. “These funds help offset the costs of providing services to government properties.
